Register Now and get expert advice from our esteemed panel.
Register to attend this webcast to gain an understanding of industry challenges, find out details about proven methods and success stories for monitoring and mitigating oilfield corrosion. Our presenters are leading industry experts, who will provide their insights. A live Q&A session after the presentations will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical issues. Presenters for the webcast are:
Sergio Kapusta is Chief Scientist of the Royal Dutch Shell and Manager of Physics & Materials Research at Shell International E&P, Inc., based in Houston, where he oversees research and development in the areas of materials, corrosion, asset integrity, reliability, energy efficiency, and physical methods of analysis. |
Claudio Morales is a Principal Research at Tenaris. His part of the presentation will focus on how corrosion and corrosion-related processes imply a risk in downhole production environments. Environmental cracking-particularly the Sulfide Stress Cracking phenomenon-is a fast process that requires adequate material selection to prevent it. Tenaris's R&D team has long-term research projects dedicated to this phenomenon, applied directly to improve our customers' operations. |
Dr. Peter Collins is the CEO of Permansense. With the possibility of now monitoring corrosion continuously, accurately, cost effectively and safely in remote locations and at extreme pipe temperatures Dr. Peter Collins will discuss how technology, developed for and proven in the oil industry, enables early identification of corrosion, understanding of causes, better forecasting and optimisation of prevention/mitigation strategies. |
Pramod Kulkarni is Editor of World Oil magazine and will be the moderator of the webcast. Kulkarni was most recently a contributing editor to World Oil. Previously, he served as Communications Manager for Baker Hughes, working on communications for a variety of upstream technologies. He was also the managing editor of InDepth, Baker Hughes' technology magazine, and editor of Technology Update, the company's e-newsletter. |
